Amazing Arts District loft

I'm baaack with an amazing look at a beautiful loft in even more beautiful Downtown Los Angeles. I absolutely love D.T.L.A. and have dreamt of living there some day. Downtown has really come a long way. Having been born and raised in L.A., it makes me so proud that DTLA is finally getting some much needed TLC. So, when I came across this incredible loft on photographer Bethany's Instagram recently, I immediately had to go over to Apartment Therapy to take a closer look at the home tour…and Oh My! Is it a dream. The loft belongs to Scott Jarrell and Kristan Cunningham, owners of Hammer + Spear. They have rented the 3,500 sq.ft loft for 4 years and it is right in the Arts District of DTLA. I think it is the most inspiring L.A. lofts I have ever seen. It is perfectly curated with the most amazing vintage furnishings and details. This loft is most definitely ALL in the details.

For many more photos of this lovely loft, the cute couple that lives here, and their adorable pooch go to Apartment Therapy HERE.

Photography...Pretty Artsy Little Lady

Sorry, but not sorry…here goes more cutie kiddo photos. My lovely God-daughter turned 8 a couple of weeks ago and her birthday party was this past weekend at an art studio. I wanted to do something fun for her and since I love photographing little cuties, I took photos of her with paint on her face a couple of months ago. She was the easiest to photograph. A total natural. So much FUN! The plan was to surprise her with blown up pictures of herself to have at the party. I went all out editing the photos...making them pop and others giving them a soft summer haze. Just had to share some of my faces. The photo above is my absolute favorite.

Isn't she a beauty?

I Love you sweet Ella

To Write Love On her Arms

Hello Loves! Quick post here. Discovered Sevenly today. How had I not heard about this before?!?

>>>Here is the lowdown<<<

What:

SEVENLY

The mission:

Every week Sevenly (and its customers) teams up with a charity, helping raise funds and awareness for 7 full days. Each purchase made gives $7 to the charity partner of the week.

This week's charity:

To Write Love on her Arms. This week you will help provide therapy, counseling and suicide prevention for an individual struggling with depression.

Why you should check it out this week:

Well first of all, the floral "Beauty" print is pretty darn cool. Secondly, we need more Mental Health awareness…pronto. I know this all too well. So many people in the dark. See it, hear it, live it every day. Depression and suicide is all too real and it SUCKS!!!!

The Most Beautiful Kitchen...…to me!

I found this kitchen a couple of months ago and I just can't get enough of it's beauty and perfection. To me…it is THE most perfect kitchen I have seen. The details are impeccable and the old mixed in with the new is timeless. The wood island table is to die for. I love that it doesn't look like your typical kitchen island and can actually be relocated to an office or a studio for other uses, but it does look perfect in the kitchen. It's simple color scheme of black, white and grays are a perfect backdrop for the pops of color added with the sofa (yes, there is a sofa in the kitchen) and the beautiful wood. Major props to Jessica Helgerson Interior Design for this amazing kitchen. They call it the Alhambra kitchen because it is in The Alhambra building built in 1926 located in Portland, Oregon (2004 NW Irving St to be exact…total stalker status here but its worth google mapping it to take a look at the outside. Its a beautiful building)

The project manager for Alhambra Kitchen was JHID designer Em Shephard.

Mini Easter Cake

Phewwwww-weeeee!!! It's been a while...lets just say ALL of March was a bit stressful and I was just not in the mood to sit and think and blog. But it's all good now and I am back with some Easter yumminess. What perfect way to torture myself when I have given up all sweets for lent, right?! (4 more days and I am sooo binging on my babes homemade donuts.) But for now, at least my guy gets to enjoy this delicious mini layered x3 german chocolate cake, sprinkled with coconut and topped with cute little chocolate eggs. Oh it did smell so very good and I heard it taste good too.

Obviously I was not into making (or taking good pictures of) Easter treats like I was last year when I made THESE. Having given up on sweets was a bit of a "lets get creative" downer.

Chairish Love!

Hello lovelies! I just recently downloaded the Chairish app and I am HOOKED!! Not a good thing. But I can't help it, it's soooo good. Chairish the one-stop shop to buy, sell, and adore pre-loved decor. You can literally purchase from your phone and even try to bargain a better deal or if you are ready to part with some lovely furniture, this is your place.

I played around with some of the items available and created a couple of mood boards. I've got sweet girl rooms on my mind (hello sister, please let me decorate Nikki's bedroom in the future!!) It was so much fun browsing the site and combining items to create some pretty cool spaces. Talk about some Eclectic love!
